Bubble tea, or Boba, originated in Taiwan at a small tea stand in the 1980s. From its humble origins it has since exploded in popularity around the world, and now we have many fantastic places to get bubble tea right here in Launceston

Whether you're a long time boba drinker or you're completely new to the concept of chewable tea, there really is something available for everyone.

The best part about bubble tea is that it's completely customisable- milk or non dairy, oolong or black or green tea, cold or hot, tapioca pearls or flavoured popping pearls, jelly or fruit, and endless combinations of these ingredients. It can be a little intimidating to look at a bubble tea menu, but it's so worth trying different combinations and finding your new favourite.

When in doubt, ask the staff what their favourites are! They're sure to give you a combination you'll love.

Some of our favourites are lychee oolong with white tapioca pearls, watermelon fruit tea with apple popping pearls and traditional milk tea with brown sugar tapioca!
