Red Herring Surf

Surf and skate shop

Red Herring Surf is Tasmania’s original surf company employing over 80 Tasmanians. Since beginning operations in Hobart in 1971, the company has expanded state-wide with 4 stores operating within the cities of Burnie, Launceston, Glenorchy and Hobart.

The staff at Red Herring Surf are integral to the success of the business and not only provide professional customer service but are also important role models and give many young Tasmanians something to aspire to.

Check out the Kombi on the roof of the Launceston store opposite Target in Charles St. This site used to be an old supermarket so it has heaps of floor space and high ceilings and is packed to the brim with lots of good stock for you to get into.

WHY WE LOVE IT

  1. Large selection of top brands in surf, skate and street wear.
  2. Friendly and experienced staff that are happy to help with all your surf and skate needs.
  3. Welcoming and inspiring environment.
