Get your adrenaline pumping with an MTB ride and finish with a cold one at your local...

Troy Reilly of Sprung sure knows a thing or two about bikes, with a background in motocross and now the very popular world of MTB (mountain biking), there's no better place than Tassie to ride some world class trails! If you want to get your heart pumping and find out why MTB is so addictive, this is a good place to start with some tips from the experts at Sprung...

Finding the right bike

Your local bike shop, like Sprung, is a great place to get started if you want to enjoy your new hobby. The experienced team can help you get started with a bike set up for you that suits any wants and needs - at the end of the day you want a bike that feels best for you.

Troy and the team can also customise a bike to suit your needs, so that you look and feel right at home when you hit the trails.

Safety First

Before you jump on your bike and go for a ride you will need some safety essentials to ensure that you enjoy your time and minimise injury. To start Troy recommends:

  1. Helmet
  2. Gloves
  3. Knee protection

You will also want to consider getting yourself some spare parts for any punctures.

After all that riding you're going to need to quench your thirst, and right next door to Sprung you can find Saint John Craft Beer. Launceston's home of, well you guessed it, craft beer! If you're itching to get home after a long day on the trails you can always get a cold one (or two) to takeaway with a selection of beer and other beverages available.
