A showcase of portrait photography & local stories by Tasmania’s own Grand Master Photographer, Philip Kuruvita

Faces of Launceston is a black & white photography series that began in 1995, documenting the personalities and stories of Launceston locals. The last major Faces of Launceston instalment was a book released in 2015; and now 7 years later, we have the next instalment- a showcase spread throughout the heart of the city displayed on walls and in windows.

For more information about Faces of Launceston, head to the official website.

This Faces of Launceston showcase ran between the 21st of April and 6th of May, and has now concluded. However, some venues are leaving their portraits up for longer.

See below for a full list of the original locations for the showcase- however we cannot guarantee that the portraits will still be up in every location, as it is up to each individual business to take them down as they see fit.
